I attended the San Jose City College Dental program and then went onto San Jose State University graduating with my BA. I then got Board Certified and have been working in the dental field for over 20 plus years. I have a love of dentistry and taught Implantology and x-rays to assistants and doctors in San Jose while raising my children. I also enjoy flying kites at the local park.
I have been working in the dental field for 7 + years as an RDA. I enjoy working in the dental field because I love helping people. When I am not working you will find me taking care of my two boys and my dog. I am an avid movie watcher, and a big-time foodie and if given the opportunity I can sleep for hours.

I bring over two decades of dedicated dental hygiene experience to the practice. I am licensed as both a Registered Dental Hygienist and a Registered Dental Hygienist in Alternative Practice, I have also provided comprehensive care in general dentistry, periodontics, and specialized environments such as skilled nursing and assisted living facilities. My expertise includes advanced hygiene concepts and patient education, all aimed at improving oral health outcomes. I am passionate about making dental care accessible and comfortable for all my patients, and I take pride in my ability to build trust and ease patient anxieties. When not chairside, I continue to expand my knowledge to better serve my patients and community.
I first went to school to be an insurance biller and have been billing insurance for over 20 years. Then went back to school to become a Registered Dental Assistant and have been an RDA for over 10 years now. I get the best of both worlds because I can help my patients both in the front with their financial questions and in the back with treatment. My happy place is helping others and that is why I absolutely love working in the dental field because every day I get to help people.
I have been working in dental for 20 + years as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA). Thanks to Dr. Ewing I was able to continue my education at UOP obtaining my RDAEF2. As a Registered Dental Assistant in Extended Functions 2 (RDAEF2) I can perform a wider range of duties than a regular dental assistant. These duties include tasks such as taking final impressions, placing and adjusting fillings, cementing crowns, sizing and fitting endodontic points, and conducting preliminary oral health assessments along with lab procedures creating all on X cases. My goal is to continue my education even further to become a lab designer. In my spare time I like to spend time with my family and friends. I am very active in my church and some of my hobbies include soccer, hiking, bike riding and camping.
I have been a dental assistant for over six years, and I bring a calm, caring presence to every appointment. I love being part of the transformation that helps patients feel confident and happy with their smiles. I especially enjoy assisting in surgeries and take pride in making sure patients feel comfortable and well cared for throughout their visit.
Outside of the office, I enjoy hiking, crafting, traveling, and expressing herself through fashion.
Before joining the dental field, Dr. Paraiso worked in biomedical research, where she developed strong skills in data analysis, systems thinking, and interdisciplinary team collaboration. At Smile Makers, she works closely with our operations and clinical teams to help create a seamless, personalized experience for every patient.
With over 25 years in the operating room, 15 of those years have been in the field of Anesthesia. Take great pride in integrating safe and current practices of our profession into a tailored plan for every individual patient. From 2000-2004 I worked at University Medical Center-Fresno level 1 trauma hospital. Before attending graduate school in New York, I worked at Queen’s Medical Center, Honolulu Hawaii in the Neuro-Trauma ICU for over 3 years. I truly found my passion, not just a profession. During my personal time, it’s devoted towards my spiritual faith/church, family, friends, and the outdoors.
